Bengaluru: Police intercepted a man who attempted to breach the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's security by jumping over the barricade and running towards him during an election roadshow on Saturday in Karnataka’s Davangere, media reported

This is the second such incident in the BJP-ruled state after a similar attempt was made in the Hubballi district.

The intruder, a young man from the Koppal district, is being questioned by police.

On seeing the man trying to breach the security cover, Senior police officer Alok Kumar ran after him and intercepted him. A team of Special Protection Group commandos also ran after him.
