PM Modi visits Assam's Kamakhya Temple, prays for nation's well being

Guwahati, Apr 8 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in Assam to campaign for BJP, visited the iconic Kamakhya Temple in the state on Friday, praying to Goddess Kamakhya for India's development.

After his visit, The Prime Minister tweeted that he prayed for the well being of citizens.

"Prayed to Maa Kamakhya, for the development of our nation & the well being of our citizens," the PM said.

In an earlier tweet he said that he felt blessed at being able to visit the age old temple.

Modi will campaign in four places in Assam on Friday, ahead of the second phase of the assembly polls there.
