| @indiablooms | Sep 08, 2020, at 06:08 pm

New Delhi/UNI: Attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government on reports of government plans to sell off 25 per cent stake in the Life Insurance Corporation, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is running a campaign to sell government companies.

"Modi ji is running a campaign to sell government companies.

To compensate for a Self made Economic collapse the country's assets are being sold one by one. Selling LIC by putting the future and trust of the people at stake is another shameful attempt of the Modi government," Gandhi said.

The Congress leader also posted on his Twitter account a news report that the government plans to sell off 25 per cent stake in LIC.

The Congress has been constantly attacking the NDA government on its decision to privatize government companies and PSUs.
