Lucknow, Mar 28 (IBNS): Hitting out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who launched Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Lok Sabha poll campaign in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati said the Prime Minister flew off without speaking about his previous promise of bringing back black money to the country and distributing them among people.

"PM Mr. Modi launched poll campaign promising to give his account to public but he flew off without speaking a word about bringing back black money home to distribute it to the poor @ 15-20 lakh & doubling the income of farmers, leaving the people dazed. Is the chowkidar honest?" the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said.

She also said on Twitter, "Personal, casteist & communal hatred & animosity have been hallmark of the BJP for which their government has grossly misused the official machinery. And keeping people & national interest above everything, the BSP-SP-RLD have join hands to ensure BJP defeat in the hustings."

Prior to the 2014 Lok Sabha election, then BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Modi had promised to bring back black money from foreign countries and credit Rs. 15 lakh to accounts of each individual of the country.

Modi terms grand alliance as 'Sharab':

Modi on Thursday during his maiden election campaign in Uttar Pradesh presented a new narrative of the Mahagathbandhan of SP, RLD and BSP by terming them as 'Sharab' or liquor.

"Sapa (SP) ka 'sha', RLD ka 'Raa' aur Baspa (BSP) ka 'ba', matlab 'sharab'...Sapa, RLD, Baspa, ye 'sharab' aapko barbaad kar degi (Taking the first alphabets of SP, RLD and BSP -the word Sharab or liquor was made. This Sharab will destroy you," the Prime Minister said during the end of his speech with appealing to the people not to support this adulterated opposition.

"You know that liquor is always bad for health, society and even for the country. Hence, you should be beware of this alliance," he said.
