Pakistan violates truce agreement in Kashmir's Poonch, India retaliates

Jammu/UNI: Pakistan troops on Saturday yet again violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Defence spokesman Lt Col Devender Anand here said that at about 9: 15 am, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and intense shelling with Mortars along LoC in Shahpur, Kirni and Degwar sectors in District Poonch.

The Indian Army is retaliating befittingly, he said.

Meanwhile, no injury or major damage has been reported so far on its own side.

Two JCOs attained martyrdom this week in firing from the other side.
