Pak violates truce, shells forward areas on LoC in Poonch

Jammu/UNI: Pakistan troops on Wednesday violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A defence spokesperson here said that at about 1145 hours, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by small arms firing and intense shelling with mortars along LoC in Shahpur and Kirni sectors of Poonch.

Indian Army is retaliating befittingly, he added.
