Pahalgam attack victim’s wife says she wants justice but not hate against Muslims or Kashmiris
Gurugram: Himanshi Narwal, wife of Indian Navy Lieutenant Vinay Narwal who was among those killed in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, has urged people to remain united and not direct their grief toward Muslims or Kashmiris.
In a moving video shared by ANI, Himanshi, a PhD scholar from Gurugram, said, “We don’t want people going against Muslims or Kashmiris. We want peace and only peace. Of course, we want justice.”
Her message came as the nation reacted with deep sorrow and anger over the attack that killed 26, including her husband.
Lieutenant Narwal had only recently married Himanshi on April 16.

The couple was on their honeymoon in Pahalgam when gunmen opened fire at Baisaran meadow, making it one of the worst civilian attacks in recent years.
His body was received with full military honours at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Grieving family members, Navy officials, and leaders including Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta gathered to pay their respects.
Overwhelmed by emotion, Himanshi hugged and saluted her husband's coffin, saying, “Let his soul rest in peace. He lived a good life. He made us really proud, and we should continue to uphold that pride in every way.”
His funeral took place Wednesday evening in Karnal, Haryana, where thousands attended the last rites.
His younger sister Shristi, 21, lit the funeral pyre as chants of “Bharat ka veer amar rahe” and “Pakistan Murdabad” echoed in the air.
Still reeling from the loss, Shristi told Chief Minister Saini that her brother was alive for a while after the attack but left unattended. “I want them dead,” she said of the attackers.
The sombre scene stood in painful contrast to the joyous wedding celebrations held just days earlier in the same town, now replaced by tearful farewells and national mourning.
