One killed in Chennai building collapse

Chennai, June 28 (IBNS) At least one person died and above 25 others are feared trapped under debris as a multi-storey under construction building collapsed in Chennai on Saturday.


"More than 25 people are feared trapped under the debris of a building under construction, on Moulivakkam near Porur on Kundrathur Main Road, which collapsed at 5.30 pm on Saturday," The Hindu reported.

Rescue workers have managed to rescue few people who were trapped under the debris. The were rushed to nearby hospital.

The incident occurred on a day when seven people died in a building collapse in New Delhi's Indralok area.
