A 22-year-old YouTuber was caught on camera being swept away by a strong current at the Duduma waterfall in Koraput district of Odisha, media reports said.

The YouTuber was identified as Sagar Tudu.

According to reports, he was visiting the region with his friend Abhijit Behera from Cuttack to shoot a video for his channel.

The mishap occurred when Tudu was shooting a reel with a drone at the waterfall.

Machkunda police station and the Fire Services Department went to the spot to conduct the search operation after receiving information about the incident.

“The ODRAF and fire team have been deployed there for the rescue operation. The youth was from Berhampur and he was here for tour. The incident took place yesterday, and we have also informed the family members,” the Superintendent of Police, Koraput, was quoted as saying by India Today.

Locals and tourists tried to rescue the youth, but they failed which led to the YouTuber being swept away by the sudden current.
