Nitish Kumar did injustice to Chirag Paswan: Tejashwi Yadav's interesting remark ahead of Bihar polls

Patna/IBNS: In what could trigger a debate about a new equation in the Bihar politics, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has said Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar did injustice to Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Chirag Paswan, who is set to fight the state polls alone, media reports said.

"What Nitish Kumar Ji did with Chirag Paswan was not good. Chirag Paswan needs his father at this time more than ever before but Ram Vilas Paswan is not among us and we are sad about it. The way Nitish Kumar behaved...did injustice to Chirag Paswan," Yadav, the former Bihar Deputy CM, told reporters.

Yadav's comment came days after Paswan in an interview with NDTV said he was hurt by Kumar's stance after the death of his father and former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan

"I touched his feet and he ignored me. Everyone saw that. I am shocked that because of our personal feelings, we even forget basic shishtachar (courtesy)," the young leader had told the news channel.

As Kumar's JD(U) is fighting the polls with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), its former ally LJP will go solo in the elections.

RJD, which is feeling an absence of its imprisoned chief and veteran politician Lalu Prasad Yadav in the election battlefield, is led by Tejashwi Yadav in the polls which will be held in three phases starting from Oct 28.
