New Delhi/UNI: An inmate of Tihar jail here allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself.

As per the Tihar jail spokesperson, an inmate identified as Ravi on Friday night allegedly hung himself with a bed sheet.

Ravi had allegedly killed his mother-in-law in Mohan Nagar, and therefore was lodged in the jail in connection with the incident.

However, the reason behind Ravi allegedly committing suicide is not yet known, while it was further told that he had three previous criminal cases already going on against him.

Further investigation is underway.
