NC senior worker shot at and wounded in Pulwama

Srinagar, Jun 30 (UNI) A 70-year-old worker of National Conference (NC) was shot at and critically wounded by unidentified gunmen in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, official sources said on Sunday.

They said gunmen entered the house of Ali Mohammad Yatoo at Nawnagri, Palpora, in Pulwama late on Saturday night.

However, before the inmates could do anything, gunmen fired upon Yatoo, father of NC block president.

The injured was immediately rushed to hospital, they said.

Later, security forces immediately launched search operation but the gunmen managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
