Narendra Modi in Delhi to discuss govt formation

| | May 23, 2014, at 03:03 pm
New Delhi, May 23 (IBNS) After attending the swearing-in ceremony of new Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel on Thursday, Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi returned to New Delhi to discuss his Cabinet formation, three days ahead of his oath-taking.
"Sources now say that Arun Jaitley is likely to head the Finance Ministry, while party President Rajnath Singh may be given the reigns of the Home Ministry," reported CNN-IBN.

"Sushma Swaraj is likely to be given the responsibility of the Defence or External Affairs Ministry, say sources. It is likely that former party president Nitin Gadkari will head the Railways after his name was cleared of corruption charges," the news channel said.

Modi and his Cabinet will be sworn in at 6 pm on May 26 at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
