Nanded: Four washed away in Godavari during Ganpati immersion

Nanded, Sept 13 (UNI) A total of four persons were reportedly washed away in the Godavari river during Ganpati immersion here, police said here on Friday.

In the first incident, three labourers- Ramnivas Nishad (20), Arvind Hargun Nishad (19) and Gharmandera Ramesh (17)-accidentally fell into the river as they watched the immersion at the Nagina Ghat here.

The victims are still missing even after a search undertaken by the District Disaster Management.

In the second incident reported from the Hadgaon teshil, one Shashikant Prakash Kodgirwar (23) was washed away in the river, added police.
