Nagpur: Potion of mall collapses, one killed

Nagpur, Aug 17 (UNI) A person was reportedly killed while four others sustained injuries when a portion of the Poonam Mall at the Wardhaman Nagar here collapsed in the wee hours of Saturday.

The deceased, watchman, was identified as Jaiprakash Sharma. He was declared brought dead at the Radhakrishna Hospital here, a report said. Four injured includes two women.The condition of a woman is said to be critical.

As per preliminary investigations, the mishap occurred due to water seepage into the walls. The mall had not undergone repair work since past two years.

The incident took place around 0030 hrs, following which, the firemen reached the spot and rescued the victims, apprised reports.
