Nagaland: Two NSCN militants apprehended with arms
Guwahati/IBNS: The troops of Assam Rifles have apprehended two NSCN militants along with arms in two separate operations in Nagaland.
As part of the ongoing crackdown by Assam Rifles on insurgent groups operating in Nagaland, one militant of NSCN (R) was apprehended from Chekiye area.
Based on specific intelligence regarding presence of a militant in general area Chekiye, troops of Assam Rifles along with police representative launched an operation and apprehended the militant.
The apprehended militant was identified as Self Styled Raja Peyu Kamal Sangma of NSCN (R).
Security personnel had recovered one point 32mm pistol with a magazine.
The apprehended militant along with recovered items was handed over to Diphupar police station for further investigation.
In separate operation, Assam Rifles troops had apprehended a militant of NSCN (K-YA) from Selouphe (RB 1602) area.
The apprehended militant was identified as Self Styled Leacy Kashito Sema and the security personnel had recovered one point 32mm pistol with magazine and one 12 Bore Rifle with thirteen 12 Bore cartridges in possession from him.
