Mumbai: Man gets police custody till Jun 19 in rape case

Mumbai Jun 4 (UNI) A local court here has sent a 55-year-old man to police custody till June 19 for raping an aspiring model on pretext of providing her a job in Bollywood, police said here on Tuesday.

The accused, Eshwar Adwani, used to lure the struggling models claiming to have good contacts in Bollywood and that he could help them get a role in Hindi movie or soap.

The victim from Rajasthan met Advani via one of their common friends and started living with him in Borivali here, when he exploited her sexually.

This is not the first rape case registered against the accused Eshwar Advani, earlier too he was nabbed by the police for the same crime.

He has been booked under relevant section of IPC.
