Mukul Roy resigns as PAC chairman

New Delhi/Kolkata: Former Railway Minister Mukul Roy on Monday resigned as the chairman of the public accounts committee (PAC) of the West Bengal assembly on Monday.

She joined the Trinamool Congress from the Bharatiya Janata Party last year.

Roy was the national vice-president of the BJP when he resigned the party last year.

Roy, one of the chief architects behind the TMC's assumption of power in 2011, quit the party in 2017.

He then joined the BJP in the same year.
