Mukul Rohatgi appointed new Attorney General of India
New Delhi, May 28 (IBNS): Senior Supreme Court advocate Mukul Rohatgi has been appointed the new Attorney General of India, which is the top law officer post of the country.
Rohatgi took over from Goolam E Vahanvati, who resigned from the post on Tuesday.
Rohatgi had served as Additional Solicitor General in the previous NDA regime.
"My priority would be to streamline the litigation process, to cut down litigation between government departments and PSUs... New government will co-operate in this aspect as this government wants to change a lot," Rohatgi told NDTV.
