Modi seeks Indian Americans' views on development of India

New York, Sept 28 (IBNS): A group of 10 distinguished Indian Americans called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.
The Prime Minister urged them to share their views on the development of India. 
 
The Indian-Americans mentioned clarity of decision-making, ease of doing business, skill development and strong university-industry links as some of the important areas that needed to be focused on. 
 
They praised initiatives such as Digital India and the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.
 
In the course of conversation, the Prime Minister referred to his Government’s recent initiatives. He mentioned the “Make in India” initiative, and said it would lay emphasis on ease of doing business. 
 
He said that investors need a sense of security and confidence in the economy. He referred to the raising of FDI limits in defence and railways, and said that investors must realize that FDI also stands for “First Develop India.” 
 
Modi also referred to the Digital India and Skill India initiatives. 
 
The group said they would like to interact with Modi in future as well. 
 
The PM urged them to share their ideas on the MyGov platform – MyGov.in
