New Delhi, July 7 (IBNS) The first budget session of the Narendra Modi government began on Monday amid high expectations from the new regime.

The session will have 28 sittings.

Prime Minister Modi in Lok Sabha introduced Piyush Goyal to the House on Monday. The Minister was not introduced earlier when PM introduced his Ministers.

While there is a heavy majority for the ruling BJP and NDA in Parliament, the opposition also closed ranks to attack the government on the issue of price rise.

Congress might seek an adjournment motion on price rise in Parliament.
