Militants attack security force party in Kashmir, no injury reported

Srinagar/UNI: Militants on Monday evening attacked a security force party in the south Kashmir district of Shopian, official sources said.

They said militants fired with automatic weapons towards a security force party near an orchard at Babapora Zainapora in Shopian.

Security forces also retaliated but the militants managed to escape, they said, adding no one was injured in the firing.

Security forces immediately launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) after sealing the entire area, they said.
