Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates reviews programmes in Maa Mangala Basti in Bhubaneswar

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates on Wednesday reviewed various programmes undertaken in Maa Mangala Basti Odisha's capital city Bhubaneshwar in collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Bill Gates, who arrived here on Tuesday night visited the Mangala basti and discussed with some women in the slum about the benefits of various transformational programmes like Jaga mission, mukta yojana, toilets, drinking water in every house undertaken by the government.

He also interacted with women about how the Mission Shakti Group and Self Help Groups have participated in the transformation programmes' and visited the Mission Shakti Bazar.

Bill Gates is scheduled to meet Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, and attend a function organised to discuss the use of Artificial Intelligence for farmers and review the functioning of the Krushi Samikhya Kendra at Krushi Bhawan.

Odisha government has been collaborating with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation since 2021 for innovation in data driven decision making.
