Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates recently visited the Statue of Statue of Unity in Gujarat and described it as an 'engineering marvel'.

He thanked the Indian PM for inviting him to visit the monument.

Gates posted on X: "Thank you @narendramodi for the invitation to visit the impressive Statue of Unity. It is an engineering marvel and a great tribute to Sardar Patel. Also great to see it is creating economic opportunity for local tribal communities, especially women."

Gates also shared a video on Instagram where he could be seen standing in front of the monument.

Sharing the video, he posted: "Wow! I had a colossal visit to the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue. Thank you Prime Minister @narendramodi for the invitation to visit this engineering marvel and thanks Chief Minister @bhupendrapbjp to your government for hosting me."

Narendra Modi reacted to his photos and said he felt glad that the tech icon enjoyed his experience of visiting the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel statue.

The Statue of Unity is the world's tallest statue, with a height of 182 metres (597 feet), located near Kevadia in the state of Gujarat, India.
