Maharashtra: Two youths drowned in Jalna district

Jalna (Maharashtra) May 14 (UNI) Two teen-aged boys were drowned here in Jalna district of Maharashtra on Monday evening.

The deceased, Gaurav Waghmare (17) and Akash Waghmare(16), hailing from Chandai Thombari in Bhokardan taluka of Marathwada region had gone for swimming when the incident happened.


As per initial reports, when Gaurav and Akash jumped in the ponds, their legs got struck in the silt due to which they were not able to move and subsequently drowned.
Soon after the incident villagers rushed to the spot and fished out their dead bodies, which were later sent for autopsy.

 

A case of sudden death has been registered in Hasnabad police station, the police said.
