Maharashtra: Two teens die in hit-and-run accident in Thane

Thane/UNI: Two teenagers reportedly died here on Sunday after an unidentified vehicle dashed into their scooter at the G B road here.

The duo victims have been identified as Shubham Jagddale and Aditya Sharma, both of whom were 17 and lived in Manpada locality.

According to the Kapurbawdi Police Station, the hit-and-run case occurred at 0700 hours when two-wheeler borne victims were hit by the vehicle and died on the spot.

The bodies have been sent for postmortem while the process of registering an offence is underway, it added.

On Saturday late night, a car rammed a roadside tree at the same spot following which the four vehicle occupants sustained serious injuries.

The tragic mishap claimed the life of a woman Rushi Rathod (24) on the spot while another Himanshu Garga (24) also succumbed to his injuries in the morning while undergoing treatment.

The remaining two injured are reported to be in critical condition.
