Mumbai, Dec 4 (IBNS): Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is likely to will expand his council of ministers on Friday, media reports said.

Maharashtra Raj Bhavan was informed that the swearing-in ceremony will take place at 4 pm at Vidhan Bhavan.

It was learnt that as many as 20 new ministers are expected to be sworn in the Friday’s occasion out of which 12 will be from the Shiv Sena and the rest from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Both the BJP and the Shiv Sena, which were partners for 25 years, parted ways in Maharashtra over disagreement on the seat-sharing issue just before the Assembly elections that was held last month.

“We have demanded from BJP an additional Cabinet rank for our party and also a Minister of State in (Central) government. However, they (BJP) are yet to reply to our proposal,” Shiv Sena MP Gajanan Kirtikar on Wednesday.
