Maharashtra: Cancer patient, her father test positive for COVID-19

Kolhapur/UNI: An 11-year-old cancer patient and her father tested positive for COVID-19 during a medical trip to Mumbai, sources from Chhatrapati Pramila Raje (CPR) Hospital informed on Friday.

The father-daughter duo, residents of Radhanagari tehsil, along with two other relatives had visited a private hospital in Mumbai regarding cancer consultation. During routine checks, they were found to be infected from the contagion.

Subsequently, they were admitted at the CPR Hospital upon their return here on Thursday evening while the swab samples of the relatives have been sent for testing.

Now, the district's pandemic tally stands at 28.
