Madhya Pradesh: Rapist in police net

Barwani, MP, Oct 6 (UNI) The prime accused and a lodge owner were placed under arrest on Sunday in connection with the sexual assault perpetrated on an eighth-standard pupil who was lured from a Khetia-based school.

Key accused Balwant Chouhan and Pansemal-resident Ganesh were subsequently remanded in judicial custody.

“The victim was raped twice, Ganesh provided a room for an hour against payment of Rs 700 and did not make any entry in the register,” Superintendent of Police D Teniwar said.

On Saturday, the student left for school with her younger sister but failed to return. Relatives subsequently alerted law-enforcement authorities.
