New Delhi/UNI: The Lok Sabha was disrupted Thursday amid the protests from the Opposition.

MPs trooped near the Speaker's podium and raised slogans, forcing the House to first be adjourned till 2 pm and then for the day.

Congress leader in the House Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury was seeking permission to raise some issues.

Other opposition MPs urged the Speaker to allow him.

The Congress MP said later he wanted to speak on the National Herald case.

The opposition MPs raised slogans against the government. Many trooped near the Speaker's podium.

Later, some MPs flashed placards on price rise. On Monday, when the suspension of MPs was revoked, the Speaker had sought assurance from opposition MPs that they will not show placards in the House.

Over the last few days, opposition MPs were not carrying placards during protests.

Congress MPs have also demanded a discussion over the sealing of the Young Indian office in connection with the National Herald case.

The Question Hour went on in Lok Sabha for around half hour amid sloganeering after which the Chair adjourned the House till 2 pm.

When the House met again, the protests continued. The House was adjourned for the day amid din.
