LG, Arvind Kejriwal condole demise of Pranab Mukherjee

New Delhi/UNI: Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday condoled the demise of former President Pranab Mukherjee.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the LG said,"My deepest condolences on the demise of former President of India, Sh. Pranab Mukherjee. India has lost a distinguished leader. May God give strength to the family & friends to bear this loss with forbearance and fortitude!"

Kejriwal said,"Sad news of former President Pranab Mukherjee's death was received. May God place the departed soul at his feet and give courage to his family and loved ones to bear this sorrow."

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said,"Deeply saddened to hear about the passing away of India's former president Shri Pranab Mukherjee ji. His phenomenal contributions to India's political & economic sphere will always be remembered. May his soul rest in peace".

The former President passed away here at R&R Army Hospital, after prolonged illness. He was 84.
