Law student commits suicide in Uttar Pradesh's Firozabad

A 22-year-old law student allegedly committed suicide under mysterious circumstances in Shikohabad area of Firozabad district in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Saturday.

The sources here said that Hritik Yadav, a resident of Sahibabad area of Ghaziabad district, was pursuing law course in a college and was living in a rented room in Khera locality under Shikohabad police station.

"On Friday when Hritik did not come out of his room till late evening, his landlord Rajiv Yadav peeped through the window and found his body hanging," they said.

The sources also said that the landlord informed the police. The body was sent to the district hospital for post-mortem examination.

Circle Officer (CO) Sikohabad Praveen Kumar Tiwari said it is being investigated that why Hritik committed suicide. "Further action will be taken on the basis of facts emerging from the investigation," he said.
