Kuwait mosque attack: Several arrested

Kuwait City, June 27 (IBNS): Kuwait authorities have arrested 18 suspects in connection with the suicide attack at a Shiite mosque in Kuwait City on Friday which killed 27 people, media reports said on Saturday.

"State Security arrested 18 suspects following a suicide bombing at a Shiite mosque in Kuwait City that killed 27 people and 222 wounded during Friday prayers," Kuwait Times reported.

The country is observing Saturday as a day of mourning.

At least 222 people were hurt in the suicide bombing.

The attacker entered the Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque at the end of Friday's prayer, reports said.
