Kumar Vishwas clashes with police in Amethi
Amethi, May 6 (IBNS): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Amethi Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh, Kumar Vishwas, reportedly clashed with the local police on Monday night.
However, he defended his act and alleged that he was harassed by the police.
"The 'Midnight Raid'.. Administration asked my family to leave Amethi with immediate effect at midnight!" tweeted Vishwas on Tuesday.
He said the police threatened to arrest him if he did not leave Amethi.
Meanwhile, the police said they were following the orders of the Election Commission (EC) that does not allow outside campaigners stay back in Amethi as campaigning for the May 7 polls ended on Monday evening.
