Know your Constitution as important as Know Your Customer: PM Modi

| @indiablooms | Nov 27, 2020, at 02:36 am

New Delhi/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday emphasized the need to spread the values of Constitution and said KYC (Know Your Constitution) is as important as the KYC (Know Your Customer)--the key aspect of digital security.

Know Your Constitution (KYC) can be a big safeguard for Constitutional safety, Modi said while addressing the concluding session of 80th All India Presiding Officers Conference at Kevadia in Gujarat via video conferencing.

"The strength of the Constitution is of great help in time of difficulties and the resilience of the Indian electoral system. The reaction to Corona pandemic had proved this," he said.

He stressed the simplicity of language of laws and their accessibility to common people so that they feel a direct connection with every law.

The process for weeding out obsolete laws should also be simple, he said and suggested an automatic system of repealing old laws as these are amended.
