Kashmir: Security forces launch CASO in Anantnag

Anantnag, May 28 (UNI) Security forces on Tuesday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Kokernag area in this south Kashmir district, official sources said.

They said on a tip off about the presence of militants, troops of Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police, 19 Rashitriya Rifles (RR) and CRPF launched a joint search operation at several places, including Yeshnar, Kachiwan in Achabal Kokernag on early Tuesday morning.

All exit points were sealed, they said adding house-to-house searches were launched.

However, so far no contact was established with the militants, they said adding no one was arrested so far.
