Kashmir: JRL call for strike on Tuesday against NIA action on separatists

Srinagar, Apr 22 (UNI) Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on Monday called for a general strike on Tuesday in protest against alleged ill-treatment to separatist leaders, including Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Mohammad Yaseen Malik by NIA and Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The JRL had earlier called for strike in Anantnag district only tomorrow when polling will be held in the first of three phase in Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency (PC).

However, the JRL this evening issued a fresh statement urging people to observe strike tomorrow against the alleged ill-treatment meted-out to the ailing Malik by NIA at Delhi and also against the ongoing aggression of NIA and ED against Kashmiris.

It claimed that Malik is on hunger strike for the past 12 days in custody and has now been admitted to RML hospital, Delhi.
