Kashmir: Fire station soon in Sonipat

Chandigarh, Sep 7 (UNI) Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister Kavita Jain on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the construction of fire station at a cost of Rs 3.5 crore in Sonipat.

Three new 33 KV power stations to be constructed at Sector-23, Rai and village Jatola in Sonipat, which would be completed at a cost of about Rs 10 crore.


Ms Jain said that besides these sub stations, foundation stone of three new 33KV substations would also be laid down soon, in villages Deepalpur, Jagdishpur and Nathupur-Saboli, to be constructed at a cost of about Rs 20 crore. Apart from this, the damaged electrical wires of Sonipat city would be replaced at a cost of Rs 5.5 crore. She said that boosting station is being constructed at Sector-23 to strengthen drinking water supply at a cost of Rs 25 crore.


BJP MP Ramesh Kaushik said that now, there would not be any electricity problem. He said that development works to the tune of Rs 1,600 crore are being carried out in Sonipat, of which, many works have been completed.


Rajiv Jain, Media Advisor to the Chief Minister, said that BJP has fulfilled about 15 years old demand of electricity in Sector-23 of Sonipat.
