Karnataka minister courts controversy over medical bill
Bangalore, July 17 (IBNS) A Karnataka minister has been accused of being treated at the cost of Rs 1.16 crore at the expense of tax payers, according to media reports on Thursday.
The minister in question is MH Ambareesh holding the Housing portfolio. He was treated in Singapore.
Only up to Rs 5 lakh is reimbursed for any minister, according to rules.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has called it a special case.
M. H. Amarnath hailing from Mandya District of Karnataka state is an actor turned politician.
