Kanpur/IBNS: At least six people were injured after a speeding Lamborghini, allegedly driven by the son of tobacco tycoon K.K. Mishra, rammed into multiple vehicles and pedestrians on VIP Road in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur, media reports said.

The luxury car was allegedly being driven by Shivam Mishra, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol. The vehicle first hit an autorickshaw before crashing into a parked Royal Enfield motorcycle.

The impact hurled the motorbike rider nearly 10 feet into the air, after which the car mounted the two-wheeler’s front wheel and dragged it for some distance before crashing into a pole and coming to a halt.

“The accident occurred around 3.15 pm near Rev-3 Mall when the luxury car, reportedly driven by Shivam Mishra, the son of businessman K.K. Mishra, lost control and ploughed into people standing along the roadside and several vehicles, triggering panic in the area,” DCP (Central) Atul Kumar Srivastava told NDTV.

Eyewitnesses said Shivam Mishra attempted to flee the spot, but locals smashed the Lamborghini Revuelto’s windows and pulled him out of the vehicle. His bouncers, who were travelling in a separate car, rushed to the scene but failed to rescue him.

The situation was brought under control after police intervention.

All the injured, along with Mishra, were shifted to a private hospital. Police have seized the vehicle and registered a First Information Report (FIR) in connection with the incident.
