John Kerry arrives in India for strategic dialogue

New Delhi, July 30 (IBNS): US Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in India on Wednesday for the 5th Indo-US Strategic Dialogue.
The Dialogue is scheduled on Thursday which Kerry will co-chair with Indian Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj.
 
Union Minister of State for Commerce (Independent charge) Nirmala Sitharaman will also participate in the Dialogue.
 
"Secretary Kerry will be accompanied by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker, who will lead discussions to strengthen economic ties between the U.S. and India. Other members of the interagency, including Deputy Secretary of Energy Daniel Poneman, Department of Homeland Security Under Secretary Francis Taylor, and NASA Associate Administrator Michael O'Brien, are also scheduled to join the trip," the US Department of State earlier said in a statement.
 
Kerry will also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the Asian nation.
 
This is Kerry's first visit to India since the formation of the new government in the country.
