J&K: Dheeraj Gupta reviews objections regarding Unified Building Code

Srinagar: Principal Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department, Dheeraj Gupta today chaired a meeting with senior officers of Housing and Urban Development Department (H&UDD) to discuss the objections received on the Unified Building Code which was uploaded on the website of the department.

The meeting was attended by Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Avny Lawasa, Special Secretary Housing and Urban Development, Chief Town Planner, Jammu Iftikhar Ahmed Hakeem, Chief Architect Jammu, A. K. Mahajan while Town and Country Planner, Government of India, R. Sriniwas and officials from Srinagar Municipal Corporation participated through video conferencing.

Threadbare discussion was held on various objections received regarding the new draft “Jammu and Kashmir Model BYE-Laws and Building Code-2020”.

Principal Secretary directed the concerned officers to deeply go through all the objections received and explore possibilities for incorporating the same in the draft plan, if necessary.
