| @indiablooms | Jul 30, 2022, at 08:02 pm

Ranchi: Security has been beefed up at the Birsa Munda Airport in the Jharkhand capital here after the airport officials received messages and threats to blow up the airport.

A message was received on Friday while on Thursday the airport officials had got a call threatening to blow up the airport.

The bomb disposal squad was pressed into service on both days.

Airport officials said the messages were sent using the same mobile number which was used for giving calls a day earlier.

A CISF official said proper steps have been taken to nab the caller and there is nothing to be worried about.

"CISF is here for the safety and security of passengers and the airport. Giving threat calls over phone or message is possible for anyone nowadays but the central force is ready to face any situation and give a befitting reply to those attempting to breach the security of the airport," the official said.
