Giridih/UNI: The bodies of a woman and her three daughters were recovered from a well under Ganwa Police Station area of this district.

The deceased have been identified as Rubi Devi and her daughters--Amrita (6), Dipika (3) and Gunjan (2).

Police sources said that the bodies were found from a well under Manjne village.

The mother of the deceased woman claimed that her daughter was harassed by her husband and in-laws for giving birth to three girls. Fed up with continuous torture, the woman took the extreme step, she alleged.

Police has sent the bodies for post-mortem. Further probe is on.
