Japanese strategic expert slams Pakistan over supporting terrorism, lauds India's Operation Sindoor

| @indiablooms | May 23, 2025, at 02:40 pm

Japanese strategic expert Satoru Nagao, a Fellow (Non-resident) at the Hudson Institute, has appreciated India's Operation Sindoor and called it a "responsible and proper" response against state-sponsored terrorism.

He described Pahalgam terror attack as 'terrible'.

"That was terrible, of course, because even the Japanese got a chance to see what happened. In one picture, we see a picture in which (a woman is) just side of her husband...ofcourse we were moved emotionally. But at the same time, we want to know more because India's voice is always good," he told ANI news agency

At least 26  people, mostly non-Muslims, died after gunmen attacked them in Pahalgam region of Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, an episode that drew worldwide condemnation.

He criticised Pakistan for supporting terrorism.

He further said: "But at the same time, Japanese should know more about this because for a long time, India suffered this terrorism and this is terrorism supported by Pakistan, that is ... crime...So we need to tell Pakistan, they must crack down on such kind of terrorists, not support terrorists."

India targeted nine terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir on May 7 in response to the April 22 attack.
