Janata Curfew on March 22, observe social distancing, be restrained: PM Modi to nation

New Delhi/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing the nation in the wake of the unprecedented world crisis from the outbreak of coronavirus urged all Indians to go for social distancing, obseve a Janata Curfew on March 22 by not going out of homes and observing a shutdown nationwide. He also announced that an economic task force has been formed to deal with the economic challenge from the pandemic. 

"Resolve and restraint is the need of hour. On March 22 stay off streets and observe Janata Curfew the whole of Sunday," he said, announcing a near official lockdown on that day.

He also urged the people to express their gratitude on the same evening at 5 pm to the people like health officials, transport employees, delivery personnel and everyone else risking their lives to serve the people.

The PM urged all to not go for panic buying.

He urged the rich to look after their employees and not deduct their salaries for absence, asking all to work from home as much possible.  

"You have given me all I wanted. I want the coming weeks from you," the PM said urging the nation to be alert and fight coronavirus with social distancing and utmost restraint.
