Srinagar/UNI: Three residential houses were damaged in a fire incident in south Kashmir district of Shopian, official sources said on Friday.

They said fire broke out in a residential house at village Trenz in Shopian. “Fire tenders were rushed to douse off the leaping flames, clearly visible from a distance,” they said.

However, they said before the fire was brought under control it had spread to nearby houses. “Three residential houses were damaged in the incident,” they said, adding no one was injured.

They said the cause of the fire was not immediately known, adding that police has registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident.
