Jammu and Kashmir: Soldier dies due to landslide
Srinagar, Apr 1 (UNI) An Army Havaldar was killed after he came under a landslide near the Line of Control (LoC) in Machil sector in the frontier district of Kupwara, official sources said on Monday.
They said a soldier Satveer Singh of 45 Rashitriya Rifles (RR) along with other troops was patrolling the border area when he came under a landslide near Ashwani Post on Sunday evening.
However, Singh, a resident of Mathura, Uttar Pradesh (UP) was immediately rushed to military hospital at Drugmulla in Kupwara, where he died.
