Jammu and Kashmir: Police arrest two drug peddlers in Srinagar

Srinagar/UNI: Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday arrested two drug peddlers and recovered heroine like substance here, a police spokesman said this evening.

He said in its offensive against drug peddlers, a police party from Shaheedgunj police station arrested two drug peddlers and 13 grms of Heroine like substance was recovered from them during checking of vehicles at Jehlum Market Batmaloo.

In this regard Case FIR No. 156/2020 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Shaheed Gunj against the drug peddlers identified as Waseem Bashir Sheikh, resident of Pallapora Noorbagh and Fayaz Ahmad Sofi, resident of Hamdania Colony Beminar.

Locals of the area have hailed the Police action & are expecting that this type of action against drug menace shall continue in future also, he said.
