Jagdeep Dhankar files nomination paper for Vice President poll, PM Narendra Modi accompanies him

New Delhi: Former West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar on Monday filed nomination for the Vice President poll to be held next month.

Dhankar, who was accompanied by PM Narendra Modi, filed the nomination in New Delhi.

He filed the nomination on a day when legislators are voting to elect the 16th President of the country.

Dhankar will be fighting the contest against Opposition candidate Margaret Alva

The Vice President poll will take place on Aug 6.
